Reference services

Reference section is open for patrons from 8.30 am-5pm only on weekdays. The section is usually closed on Saturdays; however, users are advised to consult staff at the Circulation Desk on this day. The service is also available online in the library portal through the ASK THE LIBRARIAN link.

The section handles the following reference assistance:

• Assisting or instructing Patrons on the usage of the library: location of materials, use of the online public access catalog, and use of computers to access online subscribed information resources.
• Assist users in the use of reference resources such as dictionaries, encyclopedias, almanacs, atlases, etc.
